The system first used for the production ot OSB in 1997. Siempelam had plenty of other technologies to talk about during Ligna. One was the process control and optimization system, Prod-IQ Next. In the self-optimizing plant of the future, customers will only have to specify the product they want to produce, its characteristic and quantity. The rest is fully automate from the change to the desired product, to online quality control, to the change to
the next product on cornpletion of a production order.
