In April 2021, Metro Ply Group, one of the largest wood-based material producers in Southeast Asia, and Siempelkamp signed a contract to supply a new particleboard plant. This facility will be constructed at a new Metro Ply Group site in Surat Thani, approximately 800 km from Bangkok, using raw material sourced from rubberwood plantations. This project marks the fourth collaboration between Metro Ply Group and Siempelkamp. The new plant will be equipped with a wide range of machinery and equipment provided by Siempelkamp and its subsidiaries. CMC TEXPAN will contribute to the project with a state-of-the-art four-head mat forming station, comprising two wind forming machines and two mechanical mat formers to distribute the surface and core layers of the particle mat. “Our high-quality mat forming systems, a key component of our comprehensive product portfolio, have established and strengthened our reputation over the past 60 years,” says Mr. Marco Granzotto, Sales Manager at CMC TEXPAN. “We are very pleased with this achievement by our parent company and are proud to be part of a group where perfect interaction, dedication, and professionalism lead to trustworthiness, reliability, and customer loyalty.”
