Established as a small-sized enterprise in 1962, SIEMPELKAMP Sorting & Forming has come a long way throughout the years.
While consolidating its reputation as a metalworking manufacturer, the company gradually acquired engineering and business skills, entered international markets and became a major supplier of machinery and plants for the woodworking industry.

A new name for a shared Vision: CMC becomes Siempelkamp Sorting & Forming Solution, strengthening its position within the Siempelkamp Group

2022
In 2022 CMC Texpan celebrated the 60th anniversary of its foundation: a very significant goal for the great company story.


2012
In 2012 CMC Texpan became a 100% subsidiary of Siempelkamp. Thanks to integrated working and communication platforms, information and knowledge were shared on a real-time basis, bringing indisputable benefits to the whole Group. In this way ensuring business continuity within a group that has proven to be a global market leader.
The experience and skills gained in more than 50 years of activity also widen the perspectives of the company in different fields, sometimes very far from its core business sector.


2010
During the 2010s: the first complete plant fully designed, built and start-up with the participation of Siempelkamp Group companies. Moreover, new building offices was built.
CMC Texpan became a 100% subsidiary of Siempelkamp. In this way ensuring business continuity within a group that has proven to be a global market leader.

2000s
During the 2000s CMC Texpan reached significant achievements also in fields other than that of the woodworking industry such as (lime and cement kilns, small submarine vessels, wind tunnel for aerodynamic tests). During these years Siempelkamp increased its share portion in CMC Texpan.

90s
In the 90s the relationship between CMC and Texpan consolidated more and more. At the end of the decade, CMC acquired Texpan know-how and personnel, thus bringing together - under the CMC Texpan brand - both the engineering and production activities.
In order to amplify the production are and create a laboratory testing area, CMC Texpan acquired a building of 2.600 m2.

80s
In the 80s CMC started a direct relationship with the companies of the German group Siempelkamp GmbH. Therefore, CMC extended its range of products and started the fabrication of forming systems for MDF and OSB, sawing equipment and automatic storage systems.
The first stationary forming station for particleboard was realized, carried out in cooperation with Texpan.

70s
In the 70s started to cooperate with Siempelkamp Italian representative ELMAG, and later on through Texpan. CMC got more and more involved in the construction of machinery and equipment for the particleboard industry, increasing the specialization in the production of drying systems, vibrating screens, feeding and discharge lines, after-press lines, load cell mat scales and panel saws.


1962
Carpenterie Metalliche di Colzate was founded in 1962 (its acronym CMC) and started its activity as a manufacturer of semifinished products and metal structural elements for the textile and mechanical industry.
The company gradually acquired engineering and business skills, entered international markets and became a major supplier of machinery and plants for the woodworking industry.
