For lower capacity production requirements of high quality-graded single-layer particleboard. CMC-Texpan movable wind matformers intermittently spread a complete, even particle mat. Glue-coated particles for the panel core and surfaces are fed into the former, which then separates the particles through an air stream and deposits them onto a supporting belt which is kept stationary during the spreading action.

The uniform movement of the matformer itself spreads the furnish in sequence: first, finer particles for the panel surface, then the coarser chips for the panel core, and then gradually finer material again. At the end of the forming stroke, the supporting belt advances the freshly formed mat toward the press, while the matformer quickly returns to its initial position.
